We want every event at Sage to feel easy, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone. Here are a few important guidelines to keep in mind:

• Events must remain within the approved guest capacity of 60 people.

• Events must be private. No ticketed, publicly promoted, or open-to-the-public events.

• All setup and breakdown must take place within your reserved rental time.

• A 15-minute grace period is provided after your scheduled end time. Time beyond the grace period is charged at 1.5x the hourly rental rate.

• Decorations must not damage walls, floors, furniture, or fixtures. Glitter, confetti, and smoke machines are not permitted.

• All trash must be placed in designated bins before departure.

• Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the building.

• Alcohol is permitted for private events for guests 21 and over, but alcohol may not be sold, consumed outside the building, or taken outside the building.

• Excessive noise, disruptive behavior, fighting, illegal activity, or unsafe conduct is not permitted.

• The renter is responsible for the conduct and safety of their guests and vendors throughout the rental.

• Failure to follow these rules may result in immediate termination of the event without a refund.

Sage Event Studio has a maximum capacity of 60 guests at any time, in accordance with safety and zoning guidelines.

Yes. A required $80 professional cleaning fee is included in the listed rental price to ensure the space is properly prepared before and after every event.

• Networking events

• Intimate private parties

Yes, BYOB is permitted for private events.

All guests consuming alcohol must be 21 years of age or older and drink responsibly. The renter assumes full responsibility for ensuring legal and responsible alcohol consumption during their event.

Sage Event Studio does not provide or serve alcohol.

No. Sage Event Studio is zoned for private events only. Ticketed events, events advertised to the public, or events selling admission are not permitted.

Two dedicated parking spaces are available behind the studio for the event host, providing easy access for arrival and load-in. Guests will find ample street parking along Irving Park Road. Please observe all posted parking regulations.

Your rental window includes setup and breakdown time. We recommend accounting for decorating, vendor arrival, guest arrival, and cleanup when selecting your hours. Additional time must be requested in advance and is subject to availability.

We understand that plans can change. The following policy ensures fairness while protecting reserved event dates.

Full Refund (60+ Days Notice)

Cancellations made 60 days or more before the scheduled event date are eligible for a full refund of the total booking fee and any payments made toward the cleaning fee or selected add-ons.

Partial Refund (14–59 Days Notice)

Cancellations made within 60 days but more than 14 days before the scheduled event date are eligible for a refund equal to 50% of the total booking fee.

If only 50% of the booking fee has been paid, the remaining 50% will not be collected, and the initial 50% payment will not be refunded.

If the full booking fee has been paid, 50% of the total booking fee will be refunded.

Payments made toward the cleaning fee and selected add-ons will follow the same refund terms.

No Refund (Less Than 14 Days Notice)

Cancellations made less than 14 days before the scheduled event date are non-refundable. Any outstanding balance remains due according to the payment terms.

Rescheduling

Clients may request to reschedule their event one time, subject to availability, if requested at least 14 days in advance. Rescheduled bookings must occur within 90 days of the original event date.

No-Shows

Failure to use the space during the reserved time without prior notice will be considered a cancellation and is non-refundable.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Absolutely! We want celebrating at Sage to feel accessible and stress free, and affordability is important to us. That’s why we offer the option to pay 50% when you book and the remaining balance closer to your event.

When you select the 50% payment option, you’ll pay half of your total booking cost at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of the total booking cost, including the $80 cleaning fee and any selected add-ons, will be due 14 days before your event.

The card used for your initial payment will be securely saved for your booking and used to process the remaining balance on the payment due date. You’ll receive confirmation once the final payment has been successfully processed.

If the final payment cannot be processed, we’ll reach out so you can update your payment information and complete the balance by the 14-day deadline.

If the final payment is not received by the 14-day deadline, the booking will be cancelled and the initial 50% payment will not be refunded.

Please note that bookings cancelled within our cancellation window are subject to our cancellation policy.
